In 1885 ...

Alpha Chi Omega was founded at Depauw University in Greencastle, Indiana by seven young women: Anna Allen, Bertha Dentison, Bessie Grooms, Amy DuBois, Olive Burnett, Nellie Gamble, and Estelle Leonard to create the first music fraternity.

Iota Omega was founded on April 23rd, bringing together and encouraging real strong women at Carthage College.
